Yaw Rate-Lateral/Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Replacement

NOTE:
  • Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.
  • Do not use power tools.
  • Check the sensor bracket for a deformation.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  2. Remove the driver's center console trim (see step 4 under CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Disconnect the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor 4P connector (A).

  4. Remove the sensor mounting bolts, then remove the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration sensor (B).
  5. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization (see VSA SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION MEMORIZATION  ).
  7. Do the yaw rate-lateral/longitudinal acceleration neutral position memorization for SH-AWD system (see SH-AWD® DIFFERENTIAL CLUTCH TORQUE MEMORIZATION ).
