DTC U0155: Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module (VSP/NE Frame)
NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see
TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
)
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode and then the ON mode
- Wait for 6 seconds or more
- Check for DTCs with the HDS
Is DTC U0155 indicated?
YES -Go to step 5
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time Check for loose or poor connections between the power seat control unit and the gauge control module
- From the BODY ELECTRICAL system select menu, select UNIT INFORMATION, and then select CONNECTED UNIT
Is the gauge control module detected?
YES -Go to the power seat control unit input test (see POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST/REPLACEMENT )
NO -Go to step 6
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode
- Disconnect the gauge control module 32P connector
- Disconnect power seat control unit connector B (40P)
- Check for continuity between power seat control unit connector B (40P) terminals No 39 and No 40 and gauge control module 32P connector terminals No 25 and No 26 individuallyFig 1: Checking Continuity Between Power Seat Control Unit Connector B (40P) And Gauge Control Module 32P Connector

Is there continuity?
YES -Replace the gauge control module (see GAUGE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT )
NO -Open or poor connection in the wire between the gauge control module and the power seat control unit
