- Start the engine, shift to R, and drive the vehicle at 3 mph (5 km/h) or less for at least 2 seconds.
- Drive the vehicle at 3 mph (5 km/h) or more for at least 2 seconds in R.
- Drive the vehicle in this manner only if the traffic regulations and ambient conditions allow.
