Input Shaft (Mainshaft) Speed Sensor Replacement: M/T

  1. Raise the vehicle on a lift.
  2. Remove the splash shield.
  3. Disconnect the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor connector (A).

  4. Remove the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor (B).
  5. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring (C).
  6. If needed, refill the manual transmission fluid (see TRANSMISSION FLUID INSPECTION AND REPLACEMENT ).
