- With SH-AWD Raise the vehicle on a lift, make sure it is securely supported, and allow all four wheels to rotate freely
Without SH-AWD Block the rear wheels and raise the front of the vehicle, make sure it is securely supported, and allow the front wheels to rotate freely, or raise the vehicle on a lift
- Remove the splash shield
- Connect the HDS to the DLC (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode
- Make sure the HDS communicates with the PCM, and go to the A/T Data List If it does not, go to DLC circuit troubleshooting (see DLC CIRCUIT TROUBLESHOOTING )
- Connect the A/T oil pressure gauge to the line pressure inspection port (A) Do not allow dust or other foreign particles to enter the hole while connecting the A/T oil pressure gauge
- Start the engine, and warm it up to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan comes on)
- Measure the line pressure at the line pressure inspection port (A) while holding the engine speed at 2,000 rpm with the shift lever in P or NNOTE: Higher pressure may be indicated if measurements are made in the shift lever position other than P or NFLUID PRESSURE SPECIFICATION

- Install the sealing bolt to the line pressure inspection port with a new sealing washer, and tighten the bolt to 18 N m (1 8 kgf m, 13 lbf ft) Do not reuse the old sealing washer
- Connect the A/T oil pressure gauge to the 1st clutch pressure inspection port (B) and the 1st-hold clutch pressure inspection port (C)
- Remove the air cleaner (see THROTTLE BODY CLEANING ), and connect the oil pressure gauge to the 2nd clutch pressure inspection port (D), then temporarily install the air cleaner
- Start the engine, and shift to S
- Shift to 1st gear by pressing the paddle shifter - (downshift switch), make sure the transmission is in 1st gear, and measure the 1st clutch pressure (B) and the 1st-hold clutch pressure (C) while holding the engine speed at 2,000 rpm.
- Upshift to 2nd gear by pressing the paddle shifter + (upshift switch), and measure the 2nd clutch pressure (D) while holding the engine speed at 2,000 rpm.FLUID PRESSURE SPECIFICATION

- Install the sealing bolts in the 1st clutch pressure, the 1st-hold clutch pressure, and the 2nd clutch pressure inspection ports with new sealing washers, and tighten the bolts to 18 N.m (1.8 kgf.m, 13 lbf.ft). Do not reuse the old sealing washers.
- Connect the A/T oil pressure gauge to the 3rd clutch pressure inspection port (E) and the 5th clutch pressure inspection port (G).
- Remove the air cleaner (see THROTTLE BODY CLEANING ), then remove the harness clamp (A) from its bracket (B)
- Remove the bolt (C) securing the harness cover (D), and remove the harness cover from its bracket (E), then temporarily install the air cleaner
- Connect the A/T oil pressure gauge to the 4th clutch pressure inspection port (F)
- Start the engine, and shift to S
- Upshift to 3rd gear by pressing the paddle shifter + (upshift switch), make sure the transmission is in 3rd gear, and measure the 3rd clutch pressure (E) while holding the engine speed at 2,000 rpm.
- Upshift to 4th gear by pressing the paddle shifter + , make sure the transmission is in 4th gear, and measure the 4th clutch pressure (F) while holding the engine speed at 2,000 rpm.
