Transfer Assembly Removal

Raise the vehicle an a lift, and make sure it is supported securely
Move the shift lever to N
Remove the drain plug (A), and drain the automatic transmission fluid (ATF)

Reinstall the drain plug with a new sealing washer (B)
Remove the front subframe stiffener

Remove the exhaust pipe A

Remove the bolt securing the transfer breather hose bracket (A), and disconnect the breather hose (B) from the breather pipe (C) on the transfer assembly

Make a reference mark (A) across the No 1 propeller shaft (B) and the transfer companion flange (C)

Separate the No 1 propeller shaft from the transfer companion flange
Remove the transfer assembly (A) and the dowel pin (B) from the transmission
