ATF Cooler Replacement

  1. Raise the vehicle on a lift, and make sure it is supported securely.
  2. Remove the front undercover (A) and the splash shield (B).

  3. Remove the front bulkhead cover, and remove the front bumper (see FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  4. Remove the hose clamp (A), and disconnect the ATF cooler inlet hose (B) and outlet hose (C) from the hose clamps (D), then disconnect the hoses from the ATF cooler lines.

  5. Remove the power steering fluid hose clamp (A) from the ATF cooler mounting bracket.

  6. Disconnect the ATF cooler hoses (B) from the ATF cooler (C). Replace the ATF cooler.
  7. Connect the ATF cooler hoses over the ATF cooler (see ATF COOLER HOSE REPLACEMENT  ). Then install the ATF cooler.
  8. Install the power steering fluid hose clamp on the bracket.
  9. Connect the ATF cooler hoses, then install the hose clamp (see ATF COOLER HOSE REPLACEMENT  ).
  10. Install the front bumper (see FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ), and install the front bulkhead cover.
  11. Install the splash shield and the front undercover.
  12. Check the ATF level (see ATF LEVEL CHECK  ).
