ATF Temperature Sensor Replacement
- Raise the vehicle on a lift, or apply the parking brake, block both rear wheels, and raise the front of the vehicle. Make sure it is securely supported.
- Remove the front undercover (A) and the splash shield (B).

- Remove the drain plug (A), and drain the automatic transmission fluid (ATF).

- Reinstall the drain plug with a new sealing washer (B).
- Disconnect the ATF temperature sensor connector (A), then remove the ATF temperature sensor (B).

- Apply ATF to a new O-ring (C), and install the O-ring over the ATF temperature sensor. Then install the ATF temperature sensor.
- Check the connector for corrosion, dirt, or oil, and clean or repair if necessary, then connect the ATF temperature sensor connector securely.
- Refill the transmission with ATF (see
step 8 under ATF Replacement
).
- Install the splash shield and the front undercover.
