Paddle Shifter Replacement

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ) and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repair or service.

1. Remove the steering wheel (see STEERING WHEEL REMOVAL ).
2. Remove the screws (A) securing the steering wheel rear cover (B) and the cover (C).

3. Remove the screws (A) securing the paddle shifter (B).

4. Remove the screws (A) securing the steering wheel trim (B).

5. Remove the screw (A) securing terminal (B), then remove the steering wheel trim (C). Remove the harness wire tie (D).

6. Disconnect the paddle shifter connector (A). Remove the screws (B) securing the case (C).

7. Set a new paddle shifter, then install the case on the steering wheel trim.
8. Connect the paddle shifter connector securely, and install the harness wire tie.
9. Install the steering wheel trim, then install terminal securely.
10. Install the steering wheel trim and the paddle shifter with screws.
11. Install the steering wheel rear cover and the cover with the screws.
12. Install the steering wheel (see STEERING WHEEL INSTALLATION ).
