Center Console Panel Removal/Installation

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the front seat, the dashboard, or the related parts.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when Identifying components.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
- Remove the dashboard center trims both sides (see DASHBOARD CENTER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the screws securing the center console panel (A).
- A/T: Apply the protective tape (A) to the A/T shift panel (B) along the side edge of the shift lever boot base (C). Pry upon the edge of the shift lever trim with a flat-tipped screwdriver to release the hooks (D).
- M/T: Lower the shift lever boot (A) to release the hooks (B) from the boot, then remove the shift knob (C).
- Detach the clips by pulling up the A/T shift panel (A). Disconnect the seat heater switch connectors or seat ventilation switch connectors (B) and the A/T gear shift position indicator light connector (C) (A/T).NOTE: A/T is shown; M/T is similar.
- Detach the clips by pulling up the center console panel (A). Disconnect the accessory power socket connector (B), then remove the console panel.
- Install the console panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
