Center Console Panel Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required 

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to scratch the front seat, the dashboard, or the related parts.
  • Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when Identifying components.
  • When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
  1. Remove the dashboard center trims both sides (see DASHBOARD CENTER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Remove the screws securing the center console panel (A).

  3. A/T: Apply the protective tape (A) to the A/T shift panel (B) along the side edge of the shift lever boot base (C). Pry upon the edge of the shift lever trim with a flat-tipped screwdriver to release the hooks (D).

  4. M/T: Lower the shift lever boot (A) to release the hooks (B) from the boot, then remove the shift knob (C).

  5. Detach the clips by pulling up the A/T shift panel (A). Disconnect the seat heater switch connectors or seat ventilation switch connectors (B) and the A/T gear shift position indicator light connector (C) (A/T).
    NOTE: A/T is shown; M/T is similar.

  6. Detach the clips by pulling up the center console panel (A). Disconnect the accessory power socket connector (B), then remove the console panel.

  7. Install the console panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
    • Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
