Driver's Power Seat Motor Test
NOTE:

) before doing repairs or servicing.
- Remove the driver's seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the connector from each power seat motor.NOTE:
- For the recline motor, remove the seat-back panel (see FRONT SEAT-BACK COVER REPLACEMENT ).
- All connectors are terminal side of male terminals.
- Test each motor by connecting power and ground according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately.
Terminal 1 5 Position SLIDE MOTOR Forward (+) (-) Backward (-) (+) Terminal 1 2 Position RECLINE MOTOR Forward (+) (-) Backward (-) (+) Terminal 1 2 Position FRONT UP-DOWN MOTOR UP (+) (-) DOWN (-) (+) Terminal 1 2 Position REAR UP-DOWN MOTOR UP (-) (+) DOWN (+) (-) - If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, replace:
- Slide motor (see FRONT SEAT SLIDE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
- Front up-down motor/seat frame (see FRONT SEAT FRAME REPLACEMENT )
- Rear up-down motor/seat frame (see FRONT SEAT FRAME REPLACEMENT )
- Recline motor (see FRONT SEAT RECLINE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
NOTE: The front and rear up-down motors are part of the seat frame.
