How to use this service information .

NOTICE: 

When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

1. Hood - Adjust

   Preconditions 

   • Front Grille Cover Removed - Refer to: Front Bumper Area (2025) or Front Bumper Area (2022 2023 2024)

   Procedure/Specifications 

   1. Slightly loosen the hood hinge mounting bolts (a, b).

   2. Slightly loosen the hood latch mounting bolts (c).

   3. Adjust the hood (d) alignment in the following sequence :

   • Adjust the hood right and left, as well as forward and rearward, by using the elongated holes in the hood hinges (e).
   • Turn the hood edge cushions (f), in or out as necessary, to make the hood fit flush with the body at the front and side edges.

   4. Adjust the hood latch (g) to obtain the proper height at the forward edge, and move the latch right or left until the striker (h) is centered in the latch.

   5. Tighten each bolt to the specified torque

   6. Check that the hood opens properly and closes securely.

   7. Apply touch-up paint to the hinge mounting bolts and around the hinges.
