Seat Heater Test: Test

How to use this service information .

NOTICE: 

When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

Driver's 

1. Driver's Seat-Back Heater Test

   Preconditions 

   • Driver's Seat-Back Outer Panel Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   • Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table. There should be continuity.

   Test Terminals 

   Driver's Seat-Back Heater Connector
   No. 1 - No. 2

   Result 

   • If the result is not as specified, replace the driver's seat-back heater .
2. Driver's Seat Cushion Heater Test

   Preconditions 

   • Driver's Seat Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   • Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table. There should be continuity.

   Test Terminals 

   Driver's Seat Cushion Heater Connector
   No. 1 - No. 4
   No. 1 - No. 5
   No. 2 - No. 3

   Result 

   • If the result is not as specified, replace the driver's seat cushion heater .

   Front Passenger's 

3. Front Passenger's Seat-Back Heater Test

   Preconditions 

   • Front Passenger's Seat-Back Outer Panel Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   • Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table. There should be continuity.

   Test Terminals 

   Front Passenger's Seat-Back Heater Connector
   No. 1 - No. 2

   Result 

   • If the result is not as specified, replace the front passenger seat-back heater .
4. Front Passenger's Seat Cushion Heater Test

   Preconditions 

   • Front Passenger's Seat Removed

   • Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table. There should be continuity.

   Test Terminals 

   Front Passenger's Seat Cushion Heater Connector
   No. 1 - No. 4
   No. 1 - No. 5
   No. 2 - No. 3

   Result 

   • If the result is not as specified, replace the front passenger's seat cushion heater .

   Second Row 

5. Second Row Seat Heater - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Second Row Seat Cushion Pad/Cover Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   • Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table. There should be continuity. (Figure 1 and 2)

   Test Terminals (Figure 1) 

   Second Row Seat Cushion Heater Connector
   No. 1 - No. 4
   No. 2 - No. 3

   Test Terminals (Figure 2) 

   Second Row Seat-Back Heater Connector
   No. 1 - No. 2
   No. 1 - No. 3

   Result 

   • If the result is not as specified, replace the second row seat cushion heater or replace the second row seat-back heater .
