Driving Position Memory System Description - Components

Power Seat Motors/Seat Position Sensors

Each motor has a sensor that detects motor rotation and sends a pulse to the driver's power seat control unit when the motor rotates. The control unit stores the number of pulses in its memory when the seat position is memorized.

Driver's Power Seat Adjustment Switch

The driver's power seat adjustment switch is located on the recline cover. It includes the slide switch, recline switch, height switch, tilt switch, and lumbar support adjustment switch.

Power Tilt/Telescopic Steering Motor/Position Sensors

The power tilt/telescopic steering control unit detects the voltage changes caused by the movements of the steering with the tilt position sensor and telescopic position sensor. These voltage changes are stored in memory, and the power tilt/telescopic steering positions are memorized for each stored driving position.
