Body Control Module Inspection

Preconditions

NOTE:

This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.

External circuit is normal
Power tailgate control unit is OK

Test Procedure

Hands free access functional inspection

Preparation
- -
  Hands free access power tailgate control unit/sensor 3P connector: disconnected
- -
  Power tailgate control unit connector A (24P): disconnected

Procedure
- Do the HDS [Histry data/Clear] according to the instructions on the HDS screen.
- Jump hands free access power tailgate control unit/sensor 3P connector terminals No. 3 and body ground with a jumper wire.
- Confirm the HDS [HANDS FREE ACCESS].

(Disconnected) Hands free access power tailgate control unit/sensor 3P connector female terminals

Normal Conditions
- -
  HDS [HANDS FREE ACCESS] changes from NOT CONFIRMED to OK.

Results

If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the body control module.
