NOTICE: 

When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

1. Grab Handle - Check

   Procedure/Specifications 

   1. If the side curtain airbag has deployed, replace the grab handle (a) with a new one.

   2. If the side curtain airbag has not deployed, inspect the grab handle for damage. A damaged grab handle may cause the side curtain airbag to deploy improperly, possibly causing injury. Replace the grab handle if it has any of the following of damage:

   • Any cracks or breakage in the grab handle
   • Any cracks or stress-whitening in the caps (b)
