Power Window Motor Test: Test

How to use this service information .

NOTICE: 

When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

NOTE:

If the door control unit is replaced, reset the power window control unit . If the original door control unit is installed, confirm that the power window works properly.

Driver's 

  1. Driver's Power Window Motor - Test

    Preconditions 

    Procedure/Specifications 

    1. Test the motor in each direction by connecting 12 volt battery power and ground to the connector according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)

    • If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, then go to step 2.

    2. Test the motor by connecting 12 volt battery power and ground according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 3 and 4)

    Front Passenger's 

  2. Front Passenger's Power Window Motor - Test

    Preconditions 

    Procedure/Specifications 

    1. Test the motor in each direction by connecting 12 volt battery power and ground to the connector according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)

    • If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, then go to step 2.

    2. Test the motor by connecting 12 volt battery power and ground according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 3 and 4)

  3. Rear Power Window Motor - Test

    Preconditions 

    Procedure/Specifications 

    1. Test the motor in each direction by connecting 12 volt battery power and ground to the connector according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect 12 volt battery power immediately. (Figure 1 and 2)

    • If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, then go to step 2.
