Rev Transmitter & Reference Point Transmitter
- Check internal resistance of Rev Transmitter and Reference Point Transmitter. Disconnect electrical connector from ECU. For Rev Transmitter, connect ohmmeter across terminals No. 8 and 27. Note resistance reading.
- Repeat procedure for Reference Point Transmitter using terminals No. 25 and 26. Resistance reading should be 800-1250 ohms on each transmitter. If reading is infinite, check for open circuit in wiring from ECU to transmitter.
- Replace transmitter if resistance is not within specification. Both transmitters are located at the front right of the bell housing. See Figure.
