Standard Procedure - Removing Spring Blocks
"Spring Blocks" are installed at the factory to avoid possible damage to the vehicle during the transportation and shipment of the vehicle. The spring blocks are located on the front and rear axles to help limit the amount of suspension travel. The Spring Blocks must be removed before the vehicle is delivered to the customer.
Remove the spring blocks before proceeding with any vehicle dynamics checks (for Quadrifoglio versions or where provided).
Vehicles equipped with spring blocks are identified by an adhesive label on the windshield. If the spring blocks are installed, the vehicle must comply with the following guidelines:
- Do not exceed 10 Km/h (6 mph).
- Do not drive on unpaved roads.
- During the New Vehicle Preparation (NVP) or before the vehicle is delivered to the customer, the spring blocks must be removed.
The spring blocks must be left on the car, if after the New Vehicle Preparation (NVP) the car must still be loaded on car transporters. The Dealership will have to remove the spring blocks before the final delivery to the customer.
