Deceleration Control Valve: Description

The deceleration control valve is used on some models with manual transmission. Its purpose is to reduce exhaust emissions which could build up during deceleration, due to an overly rich mixture when throttle plate closes. This system allows air to by-pass the throttle plate when it is in the closed position.
