Idle Speed
- Warm engine to normal operating temperature (oil temperature of 122-158°F or 50-70°C). Turn idle speed control knob on instrument panel counterclockwise to stop.
- Connect tachometer (VW 1367 or Siemans 451) according to instructions. Loosen lock nut to adjust idle speed. Turn screw in to raise idle speed, or out to lower idle speed. Retighten lock nut. See Fig 1 .
