Anti-Lock Brake System: Description

The anti-lock brake system consists of an ABS control unit, a hydraulic modulator, system relays, speed sensors, and necessary wiring. See Figure -Figure . An ABS defeat switch is located on the dashboard.

The ABS defeat switch allows the driver to turn the system on or off as desired. If the ABS system is locked out, stopping the vehicle and restarting it will automatically engage the ABS system once again.
