Primary Resistance

  1. On version one, disconnect ignition coil power stage connector and ignition coil wire. See Figure . On version 2, disconnect ignition coil power stage connector and remove screw from top of assembly. See Figure .
  2. Connect Multimeter (US 1119 ) between terminals No. 1 and No. 15. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Reading should be between .5-1.5 ohms. If not within specification, replace ignition coil.
  3. If secondary and primary resistance values are within specification and there is still no ignition, replace ignition coil with power stage as an assembly.
