Ignition Distributor

Ignition distributor is a Hall Effect type with no centrifugal or vacuum advance. Hall sender is operated by a 5-aperture trigger wheel. Voltage signal from Hall sender is received by ICU at approximately 60 degrees BTDC. ICU uses this signal to determine engine speed and crankshaft position.

Ignition has an anti-tampering cover that is attached to a boss on cylinder head next to ignition distributor and covers distributor clamp nut. To gain access to clamp nut, anti-tampering cover shear bolt must be removed.
