Oxygen Sensor

Oxygen (O2) sensor is a heated type sensor that measures oxygen content of exhaust gases. FICU uses data from O2 sensor to determine air fuel mixture.

On vehicles with manual transmission, O2 sensor is located on exhaust pipe just ahead of catalytic converter. On vehicles with automatic transmission, O2 sensor is located at front of catalytic converter. Connections for O2 sensor and sensor heating element are located on a bracket next to distributor.
