Idle & Full Throttle Switch

  1. With ignition off, remove harness connector to idle and full throttle switch on throttle body. Connect Test Adapter (VW 1501 ) between throttle switch and harness connector. See Fig 1 .
  2. Connect multimeter between terminal No. 2 of adapter and engine ground. Turn ignition on. Multimeter should read 12 volts. If 12 volts is not present, repair break in wiring.
