Air Temperature Sensor

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECU harness connector. Check for about 400-700 ohms in circuit between ECU terminals No. 23 and 24. See Figure . If ohms are not as specified, peel back air temperature connector boot.
  2. Ensure air temperature sensor resistance is 400-700 ohms. If not, replace sensor. If required, cut sensor terminals from harness and solder new sensor to harness. If sensor is okay, check for an open or shorted circuit in wires.
