Sensor Plate Lever/Control Plunger
- Remove ignition coil wire and ground. Crank engine for 10 seconds.
- Using pliers or a magnet, lift sensor plate through entire range. Even resistance should be felt through range of movement. Move sensor plate quickly from raised position to rest position. No resistance should be felt. If resistance is felt, replace airflow sensor.
- If sensor plate is hard to move in one direction, and easy in opposite direction, control plunger is sticking and fuel distributor must be replaced.
