Secondary Resistance

  1. Check wiring between power stage and ignition coil, and power stage ground wire for corrosion and damage. On version one, disconnect ignition coil power stage connector and ignition coil wire. See Figure .
  2. On version 2, disconnect ignition coil power stage connector and remove screw from top of assembly. See Figure . On both versions, connect Multimeter (US 1119) between terminal No. 1 and coil wire socket.
  3. Resistance should be 5000-6000 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace ignition coil.
