Air Temperature Sensor

  1. Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position. Disconnect ECU harness connector. Ensure resistance between ECU terminals No. 23 and 24 is 400-700 ohms. See Figure . If reading is not as specified, peel back air temperature connector boot.
  2. Ensure air temperature sensor resistance is 400-700 ohms. If not, replace sensor. If necessary, cut sensor terminals from harness and solder new sensor to harness. If sensor is okay, check for an open or shorted circuit in wires.
