Vibration Or Noise
- Inspect for defective bearings or interference of rotating parts with related objects. Check for repeated abrupt starts and stops that could cause bearing failure. Consider neglect of engine oil change or sustained use with contamination in oil pipe.
- If there is no problem with lubricating system, check for incorrect balance of rotating section or bent shaft. Conditions may be due to excessive wear of bearings or contamination, causing damage to turbine or compressor wheels.
- If any of the above conditions exist, replace turbocharger assembly. Before installing a new turbocharger assembly, check intake manifold system for contamination and/or broken turbine or compressor wheel pieces.
