Fuel Pump Relay

  1. Remove fuel pump relay from fuse/relay panel. Turn ignition on. Test light should light when connected between relay terminal No. 46 and ground. See Fig 1 .
  2. While starter motor is operating, connect test light between relay terminals No. 50 and No. 51. Light should flicker. Connect test light between relay terminals No. 46 and No. 50, then connect between terminals No. 46 and No. 52. Test light should light both times.
  3. If test light does not light in all tests, check wiring for open or short. If test light illuminates in all tests, but there is no voltage at fuel pump with relay installed, replace fuel pump relay.
