Oxygen (O2) Sensor Heating Element

  1. Disconnect O2 sensor heating element connector from harness connector. Connect voltmeter between harness connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. See Fig 1 .
  2. Turn ignition on. Voltmeter should indicate battery voltage. If voltmeter does not indicate battery voltage, repair open circuit.
  3. Connect ohmmeter between O2 sensor heating element terminals No. 1 and No. 2. See Fig 2 . Ohmmeter should indicate 3-15 ohms. If ohmmeter does not indicate 3-15 ohms, replace O2 sensor.
