Coolant Temperature Sensor

NOTE: Coolant temperature sensor terminal identifications are located on connector.
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove connector from coolant temperature sensor. Connect ohmmeter between sensor connector terminal No. 1 and ground, and between terminal No. 2 and ground. Ensure readings are as specified. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE  table.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter, check voltage between connector terminal No. 1 and ground, and between terminal No. 2 and ground. Voltage readings should be 4.5-5.5 volts. If voltage is not as specified, repair break in wiring. If wiring is okay, replace FICU.
