Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement
Location of Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor and harness connection. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS .
- Remove IAT sensor.
- Push back rubber boot on IAT sensor and cut wires at sensor and pull off rubber sleeve.
- Push on new rubber sleeve, place heat-shrink tubing over both wires. Strip both wires, install electrical connectors and fit to sensor.
- Carefully solder both connectors to sensor.
- Push shrink tubing over the soldered points and heat. Push on rubber boot and install sensor.
CAUTION:
DO NOT allow solder to come in contact with sensor wire as this could become a fracture point.
NOTE:
Do not overheat the heat-shrink tubing with a soldering iron or heat gun.
