Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM): Notes

The Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) is equipped with diagnostic capability for 8 possible output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) checks. Output DTM checks can ONLY be initiated with the engine NOT running. Follow test equipment manufacturer's instructions for (VAG 1551) operation. If (VAG 1551) is not available, check components and wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
