Diagnostic Trouble Code Identification

Diagnostic information applies to all models with the 2.22L turbocharged 5 cylinder engine. For diagnostic trouble code description, see, DTC IDENTIFICATION  table. To check for DTCs. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  . Operate scan tool, according to scan tool display information.

(3) "RPM Upper Limit Exceeded" is stored as a malfunction if engine speed of 7440 RPM is exceeded. This limit can only be exceeded if the engine is over-revved due to an operator error, for example, improper shifting.
(4) This malfunction applies only to vehicles with automatic transmission.
