MOTRONIC Engine Control Module: Notes

NOTE: When Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) connectors are disconnected, all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will be erased. ONLY disconnect or reconnect ECM wiring harness connectors with ignition switch in the OFF position. WAIT at least 20 seconds before disconnecting ECM. Failure to do so may damage the ECM.
NOTE: All voltage and continuity tests should be performed with a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) with a minimum 10-megohm input impedance, unless specifically stated differently in testing procedures.

Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) is located in the passenger compartment behind the right side lower "A" pillar cover (kick panel). See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
