Engine Controls - Service & Adjustment Specifications: Capacities

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle. When battery or ECM is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until adaptation systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

NOTE: It is necessary to generate a Engine Control Module (ECM) readiness code if ECM memory is cleared, battery voltage is disconnected or ECM is disconnected. See READINESS CODE under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.

⁽¹⁾	To prevent overfilling, add approximately 1/2 qt. less than capacity. Start engine. Run engine until operating temperature is reached. Turn ignition off. Wait about 3 minutes. Check oil level. Fill to FULL mark on dipstick. Additional oil may be more or less than 1/2 quart.

⁽²⁾	Use appropriate mixture of water and Audi approved G12 coolant. G12 coolant is Red in color.

⁽³⁾	Use fluid ESSO EGL 71141. Color is Yellow. DO NOT use additives.

⁽⁴⁾	Fluid change capacity is up to 3.7 qts. if pan is removed.

⁽⁵⁾	Use SAE 75 W 90 synthetic fluid, part No. G-052-162-A2. Color is Yellow/Gold. DO NOT use additives.

⁽⁶⁾	Fluid change is not recommended by manufacturer.

⁽⁷⁾	Use SAE 75 W 90 synthetic fluid, part No. G-005-000.

⁽⁸⁾	Fill to one mm below filler hole.
