Check phase position of CMP sensor

• Connect testing and information system VAS5051. See VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC, TESTING AND INFORMATION SYSTEM VAS5051, CONNECTING AND SELECTING FUNCTIONS . Select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics". Engine must be running at idling speed.

• Under -1- select diagnostic function "08 - Read measured value block".

1. - Enter display group
   • Enter "093" for "display group number 093" in zone -2- and confirm entry by pressing -Q- button.

• Check indication in display fields -1- to -4-.

  Note:	If the specified values are exceeded significantly in the two CMP sensors of one cylinder bank, the connectors for the CMP sensors of that cylinder bank are interchanged  . If the specified values for one CMP sensor are exceeded, check CMP sensor and camshaft adjustment  . See CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT, CHECKING .

• Exit function "08 - Read measured value block" by pressing --> button.
