Servo Motor to Steering Gear Housing Bolt - 35
Steering Column to Mounting Bracket Bolt - 20
Steering Column to Steering Gear Bolt - 20 + 90° turn
Steering Gear Housing Pinion Screw Plug - 65
Steering Gear to Subframe Bolt (1) - 50 + 90° turn
Steering Pinion to Steering Gear Housing Nut (1) - 25
Steering Pinion Cover to Steering Gear Housing Bolt - 15
Steering Wheel to Steering Column Bolt (1) - 50
Strut to Mounting Bracket Bolt - 20
Strut to Lateral Control Arm for Steering Column Bolt - 20
Strut to Steering Column Bolt - 9
Tie Rod End to Tie Rod Nut
- Generation I - 55
- Generation II and III - 50
Tie Rod End to Wheel Bearing Housing Nut (1)
- All except S3 and RS 3 - 20 + 90° turn
- S3 (2) - 100
- RS 3 - 110
Tie Rod to Steering Gear - 100
(1) Always replace after removal.
(2) Pre-tighten to 100 Nm; then loosen 180° and tighten again to 100 Nm.
