Telephone/Telematics control module, initializing
The initialization must be done the first time it is operated before delivering to the customer.
During initialization, there is a data exchange between the Telematics control module and the service center.
Before initialization, the activation fax response must be received and the SIM card must be released.
Requirements:
- Sufficient reception
- Reception from at least 4 GPS satellites
- No 2nd mobile phone card in the cradle.
- Switch receiver on.
The "Service mode" display appears.
- Press the menu button until the "Security code" display appears.
- Enter security code (always "12345" ) using the number field and confirm entry with OK button.
NOTE:
- The security code should be saved.
- Now enter Telematics center number: "49 172 227 022 0"
and confirm entry with OK button.
- Enter Telematics provider number: "2002"
and confirm entry with OK button.
The initialization now takes place (approx. 3 to 6 minutes).
Then the "New vehicle - receive data" display appears.
- Confirm display with OK button.
The "Receive Telematics data" display appears.
- Confirm display with OK button.
Then the transmission vehicle data can be compared with the entries in the activation fax.
- Press the arrow buttons to scroll through this menu. The first menu level is reached by pressing the Back button.
The initialization is complete.
