Speech Input Control Module From September 2008: Notes

The voice control system is part of the information electronics control module 1 -J794- inside the glove compartment. It cannot be replaced alone.

If it is faulty, then the information electronics control module 1 must be replaced.

-- Switch off all electrical consumers.

-- Remove the key.

-- If control module is replaced, select replacement function for appropriate control module in guided fault finding routine.

Use the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 to do so.
