Hydraulic Unit With Control Module, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal while noting the following:

NOTE:

Do not remove sealing plugs at new hydraulic unit until the corresponding brake line is about to be installed.

If the sealing plugs are removed too early, brake fluid can escape and unit may not be sufficiently filled or adequately bled.

-- Attach the bracket to the hydraulic unit.

Audi RS-6/RS-7:

-- Install bracket -1- and tighten -arrows- to 10 Nm.

Continuation for all vehicles: 

-- Install the hydraulic unit and control module into the bracket in the vehicle.

NOTE: Moisten the rubber piece in the bracket with water to make it easier to install.

-- Remove the plugs from the new hydraulic unit.

NOTE: First install all the brake lines into the hydraulic unit and then tighten them.

-- Install all the brake lines.

-- Tighten all the brake lines.

NOTE: During the output diagnostic test mode it can be determined if the line connections were interchanged.
