Battery Without Visual Indicator
CAUTION:
If the acid level is below the MIN mark, replace the battery. Refer to BATTERY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Check that the battery and terminal clamp are tightly in position and tighten if necessary. Refer to BATTERY: SECURE SEATING OF BATTERY AND BATTERY TERMINALS, CHECKING .
-- Perform a visual inspection of the battery housing and check for the following:
- Corrosion on or damage to the battery pole
- Damage to the housing
-- Perform a visual inspection of the battery cells to determine the electrolyte level. The acid level must be above the MIN mark.
NOTE:
Using a flashlight during the visual inspection makes it easier to see the MIN and MAX marks.
If the marks are difficult to see: Hold a small mirror at a right angle to the battery cells and use a flashlight to check the electrolyte level.
