Selector Lever Handle, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install the selector lever handle lower section -2- onto the selector lever -3-.

NOTE:

Be careful not to damage the cover strip -4-.

It may be necessary to move the cover strip -4- if the selector lever handle lower section -2- does not fit correctly on the selector lever -3-. Do not move the selector lever when doing this.

It will not be possible to install the bolt -1- if the selector lever handle lower section -2- is not installed completely.

-- Install the bolt -1- (-item 5- OVERVIEW - SELECTOR MECHANISM - List Item:Bolt).

-- Make sure the three clips -1- fit correctly into the bottom of the selector lever handle upper section. Push them in if necessary.

-- Attach the selector lever handle upper section -1- to the selector lever handle lower section -2-.

-- Check the selector mechanism. Refer to GEARSHIFT MECHANISM, CHECKING .
