Charging Socket, Checking For Contamination And Damage

The charging socket is located behind the Audi emblem in the radiator grille.

Requirements: 

• Ignition must be switched off.

Procedure: 

-- Open the charging unit cover.

-- Remove the charging socket cap.

-- Check the locking ring for presence.

-- Check the charging socket for:

• Debris/traces of powder
• Damage/deformation
• Secure fit on the body

-- Clean the charging socket if necessary.

-- Replace any damaged components.
