Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment. Set the ignition key outside of the vehicle.

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

The Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- must first be removed with the bracket because the wire lengths are very short.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- on the bracket -2-.

-- Pivot the bracket -2- downward and pull it out of the rear ball socket (refer to -3-).

-- Release and disconnect the connectors -4- from the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- -1-.

-- Insert the : VAS6223/9  -1- onto the MOST bus connector -2-.

-- Insert the two : T10057  -A- into the release slots on the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- -1-.

• The points on the grip eyelets of the : T10057  face outward.
• Both : T10057  must engage.

-- Remove the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- -1- from the bracket -2- at the : T10057  grip eyes -A-.

-- Press the locking tabs on the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- and remove the : T10057  -A-.
