Voice Recognition System, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

-- Install the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-. Refer to Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Perform the following function test:

-- Switch on the Radio -R-.

-- Press the PTT  button on the multifunction steering wheel briefly.

A "ping" tone sounds and the voice recognition system is active.

-- Say the command "Help".

If the Radio -R- is active, the voice recognition system responds with "Radio commands are...".

Depending on the equipment, other functions can be selected:

-- If a telephone is installed, say "telephone".

The voice recognition system switches to the telephone mode.

-- Press the PTT  button for approximately 1 second.

The voice recognition system responds with "Cancel" and is deactivated.
