Overview - Windshield: Notes

The following dimensions represent the distances at the marked points. This must also be oriented to the layout of the original adhesive bead on the removed component.

1. Windshield
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to WINDSHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Distance to roof frame: dimension -c- = 2.5 mm ± 0.5 mm
   • Center the side distance to the A-pillars
   • Windshield Defogger Control Module -J505-, Removing and Installing. Refer to Windshield Defogger Control Module -J505-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
2. Adhesive Bead
   • Observe minimum curing times. Refer to MINIMUM CURING TIMES FOR BONDED WINDOWS .
   • Different distances to window edge:
     • Dimension -a- = 7.0 mm
     • Dimension -b- = 7.7 mm
     • Dimension -d- = 7.8 mm
     • Dimension -e- = 10.7 mm
     • Dimension -f- = 7.8 mm
     • Dimension -g- = 10.7 mm
   • Adhesive bead thickness. Refer to Adhesive Application: .
   • Positioning of the double adhesive bead Positioning of the Double Adhesive Bead 
3. Windshield Frame
4. Drip Rail
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to DRIP RAIL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
5. Molding
6. Plenum Chamber Cover
   • Insert in the frame -item  8-
   • Only press on until it stops after the minimum curing time for the adhesive.
7. Windshield Adjusting Wedge
   • Quantity: 2
   • Remove before installing the plenum chamber cover -item  6-
8. Plenum Chamber Cover Frame
   • Windshield component -item  1-
   • With a new windshield -item  1-, remove the protective molding before installing the cowl panel trim. Refer to Figure.
